Charming hawfinch on a branch oil painting, original artwork (not a print).
Original oil painting, created by myself on a linen on an oval frame. The artwork is made with professional oils with a multi layering technique which helped me to build up different shades and tones of a color to create depth and interest of the object. The dark background lets the hawfinch to stand out, I especially love the tiny details on the bird’s feet and the barely but still noticeable tail fading into the dark background. The painting was created in many sessions and I am proud to state that every detail and shade is carefully considered and applied. The artwork is signed and varnished, the side edges are painted. Please note that this painting does not need a frame, it can be hung by the edge.
